- Associate Vice Chancellor, Office of Industry & Economic Partnerships
Cynthia Sweet serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for the Office of Industry and Economic Partnerships, and is responsible for directing the regional economic development and strategic venture capital initiatives for the office. She has extensive experience in central administration and university-industry partnerships, and more than 25 years of experience in economic and business development for public and private sectors. Prior to joining Pitt, Cynthia was the Associate Vice President for Corporate and Government Relations at West Virginia University, and before that she was with University of Wisconsin-Madison Office of Corporate Relations. She has a Masters degree in planning and international economic development from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Bachelors degree in economic development from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.
